ABOUT ME

Five years ago, I hired a life coach for the first time and it literally changed the trajectory of my life. Before I began coaching, I didn’t feel like me. I didn’t know where to find enjoyment. I felt completely disconnected from me.

For so many years, I had a plan and a direction but somewhere along the way, I allowed everything around me to influence what I did… how I felt… and rather than being in control and in the driver’s seat… I had completely lost my sense of self. Does this feel familiar?

The rediscovery of my ‘self’ through coaching impacted not only me but my family, my job, and my kids. People noticed the positive changes. It created ripples in their lives as well.

I am completely filled with joy as I think about the transformations possible for my clients through coaching and I consider it an honor to be a guide in YOUR own transformation.

It is my mission to help women find themselves again. It’s time to feel reconnected to YOU.

Be transformed.

A little bit about Gretchen.

  • I am a mom of two boys and two golden retrievers and married to my very patient and loving husband of 20 years. We live on a small lake and try to get outside as much as we can. Whether it’s walking, biking on trails near our house, or soaking in one of Minnesota’s many lakes, we really are nature lovers. With busy kids, we try and squeeze in as much family time as we can which undoubtedly always ends up being some of the most fun and memorable times.

Over the years, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the little unplanned moments of life. Those last-minute invites from a friend to go for a walk or grab lunch together spontaneously… The times you are shuttling kids to and from sports and you stumble into a moment where they reveal more of themselves (which I personally can never get enough of)… Or a rainy afternoon that turns into a wonderful family game and movie night… those moments are the LIFE that I am most happy living.

I can appreciate the planned moments in life too but I find knowing a little unplanned gem can pop-up any time very fulfilling.

  • I really do consider it a blessing to be able to coach women as my career. It fills my cup, metaphorically, and brings so much purpose to my life. The biggest spark for me was my experience working with my own life coach and how she helped me uncover so much more of who I am. Through this experience, I found greater joy and deeper fulfillment in my life which created a ripple effect for those around me, too.

A driving force for my coaching is to help women become more fulfilled which ultimately impacts everyone around them. If we get enough life coaches working with people in this world, I know it will make a lasting impact for humanity.

  • I also really enjoy cooking and entertaining. It’s a big part of what we love to do as a family! I love trying new recipes and having friends or family together for a great meal and good conversation. It’s truly one of my happy places!

Like many other moms, I’m always trying to find more ways to get veggies in our diet. You really can’t go wrong with roasting veggies in olive oil and some seasoning. And one of my new favorite Pinterest recipes is a Cod with Tomato and Herb Butter, yum! It’s so simple to cook with so much flavor!

  • Connection. This is what it all comes down to. I really work to create time and experiences where connection is at the root of everything I put my heart into.

It became clear to me a few years ago that no matter what, connection is always the driving force for me. If I am not getting the connection I need, I am seeking it out or creating it. Being aware of this has helped me become more proactive in how I can share this and ensure that I am prioritizing opportunities where I feel authentically connected with both myself and others.

  • I am a Certified Practitioner with Learning Journeys The International Center of Coaching but that’s not where my journey originally began.

I received an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and then attended the University of St. Thomas where I earned my MBA in Accounting. I worked for 20 years in professional services firms first as a tax accountant and then in human resources. During my experience as a Human Resources Manager, I found my passion in working to help people thrive. This brought me to my career in life coaching.
